Congratulations to our U13 Golden Cobras for winning their first international
medal at Tropical Freeze 2024. The team battled hard in the first three games, but
fell short to teams that were simply more experienced: 7-2 loss vs. Puck Moose,
8-2 loss vs. Ice Breakers, and 4-0 loss vs. SWOT. However, in the last round robin
game that mattered the most, our U13 team, against all odds, defeated Bangkok
Warriors 4-2 to earn the ticket to the Bronze Medal Game. In the final rematch
against Hong Kong’s SWOT team, our U13 team once again delivered a miracle,
defeating Hong Kong 5-2 to earn the team’s first ever international medal.
Congratulations to our U15 Golden Cobras for also winning their first international
medal at Tropical Freeze 2024. The team had a strong performance in the round
robin, going loss-less against all the strong Thailand teams: 1-1 Tie vs. Ice
Breakers, 1-0 Win vs. Young Ducks, and 2-1 Win vs. Bangkok Warrior. Our U15splaced #1 seed going into the semi-finals. However, in the semi-final thriller, our
U15s just fell short of earning their ticket to the Gold Medal game after losing 4-2
to Young Ducks in the rematch. Regardless, the team was able to proceed to the
Bronze Medal Game - they refocused and were locked in for the rematch
against #2 seed Ice Breakers. In the final match, our U15s were as resilient as
trained to be, killing two 5on3 penalty kills during the biggest moments of the
game. The game ended with a 3-1 Win for Cobras, earning the team its first
international medal.
