On 13 December 2024, twenty U13 and U16 players travelled to Obihiro, Hokkaido, Japan for COBRA/CAMP Winter 2024. We wanted a camp that involved morning and evening ice times on Olympic sheet and many intensive friendly games against local Japanese teams. To say the least, our Cobra campers learned the important values of respect, discipline, and humility from our Japanese friends.
In the 9-day program, we had 7 practices and 6 friendly games, featuring a total of 20 hours of ice time. The winter camp would not have been complete without two days off, exploring the local city and the vicinity. Hockey aside, the whole team was able to enjoy a full day at Tomamu Ski Resort and also go on food adventures and shopping sprees.
